It seems there may have been a bit of confusion around this proposal.
To clarify, this would be is in addition to the 12 months of payments approved in Launch Token Governance. If this proposal is approved, it would bring the total to 14 months of monthly payments, retroactively beginning January 01, 2023.
Thus, if the proposal passes this month, Community Leaders and Ambassadors will be able to claim 5 months of payments.
What
The purpose of this proposal is to provide Community Leaders and Ambassadors with retroactive pay for two additional months of work, to be paid from the DAO treasury.
Why
Several months ago, a proposal called Launch Token Governance was drafted, which included the then-pending Compensation for Community Leaders and Ambassadors proposal.
Although it took several weeks of revisions and fruitful discussions, the proposal passed with overwhelming community support. The Community Leaders & Ambassadors worked hard during the interim period to keep the Soft DAO community running. Therefore, it is only fair to recognize their efforts by compensating them for this period.
Scope
This proposal involves individuals in the following community roles:
- Community Leaders: responsible for leading and organizing the various sub-communities within Soft DAO.
- Ambassadors: responsible for representing Soft DAO to the wider community in their localities, both online and IRL.
Compensation
The amount of compensation for Community Leaders and Ambassadors is based on the terms set out in Compensation for Community Leaders and Ambassadors.
- Community Leaders: 500 USDT per month for two additional months
- Community Leaders: 400 SOFT per month for two additional months
- Ambassadors: 250 USDT per month for two additional months
- Ambassadors: 200 SOFT per month for two additional months
This comes out to a total of: 6,000 USDT and 4800 SOFT
Payments will be made from the DAO treasury to the distributor contracts handling payment for Community Leaders and Ambassadors. They will then be able to claim tokens in accordance with their payment schedule.

NOTE: Any Community Leader or Ambassador found to be incentivizing fake engagements, bots, or mercenary/shallow engagement (i.e., value extractive) may be removed from their position and compensation terminated.
Implementation
If approved, this proposal will be implemented with the following steps:
- Soft DAO will transfer the compensation amount to the aforementioned distributors.
- The Community Leaders and Ambassadors will then claim tokens themselves, according to their distribution schedule.
Vote
This proposal requires a vote by the members of The Soft DAO to be approved. Voting will be conducted via The Soft DAO’s Tally.xyz page.
