It is fairer to distinguish between rewards between newcomers and early adopters of the project: those who have been in the project for a long time will have an advantage over newcomers for a long time. And constantly rewarding the same people is a weak motivation for newcomers.

I like your decision to divide the awards into 2 lists by participation dates. This is indeed a fair decision. How about the gamification of getting points in crew3? Personally, I lack a bit of involvement in the process of getting new levels.
